Antonio Leron Smith, affectionately known as "Tony," was born on August 29, 1966, in Greensboro, North Carolina to Geraldine Moore and Augustine Smith. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 15, 2024, in Washington, DC, leaving behind a legacy marked by his unwavering dedication, strong will, and a deeply rooted love for family and friends.

Tony led a life of hard work and diligence as a contracted construction worker and found fulfillment in the hard work that defined much of his career. Alongside his career in construction, he pursued his passion for cutting hair. He was enrolled in barbering school at the time of his passing. This dedication to honing his skills showcased his strong will and commitment to personal growth.

Beyond the scope of work, Tony’s vibrant personality set him apart and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Tony was a man of faith, known for his down-to-earth nature and loyalty to his friends. He cherished his family, enjoyed spending time with them, and was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Tony’s love for football and the camaraderie he shared with loved ones were integral to his life.

Tony leaves behind a grieving family that includes his beloved children from his union with Felicia Beasley: Antonio Beasley, Anquan Smith, Antonise Smith, and Jaquan Smith; as well as his cherished granddaughters, Lamiyah Beasley and Morgan Beasley. He is also survived by his sister, Jennifer Jones, niece Ebonie Allen and nephew Devonte Jones. He was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Moore.

In a heartfelt tribute to his indomitable spirit, a memorial service will be held on August 28, 2024, at New Image Community Baptist, located at 1839 Alabama Ave SE, Washington, DC, allowing family, friends and all who knew him to pay their respects and share fond memories of his life.
