On April 30, 2024, the world lost a beloved soul with the passing of Kemo Kenyatta-William Key, affectionately known as "Moe." He was born on December 18, 1994, in Maryland, where his journey began. Moe's presence touched the lives of many with his kind and thoughtful nature, always willing to give his all without hesitation.
Moe will be remembered for his standout personality - a unique individual who never shied away from telling it like it is. His love knew no bounds, as he would go above and beyond for those around him. Whether it was spending quality time outdoors or cheering on his beloved Cowboys football team, Moe found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His passion for cooking brought people together, creating lasting memories shared over hearty meals.
Tragically, Moe's time with us came to an unexpected end in Waldorf. Despite the sudden circumstances of his passing, the memories he leaves behind will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Moe is survived by his grieving family and friends who will hold onto the loving and thoughtful moments they shared with him. His legacy will continue to live on through the impact he made during his time on Earth.
A Funeral Service to honor Moe's life will take place on May 8, 2024, at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Waldorf. Services to begin with visitation at 10 a.m. and services to start at 11 a.m. The family request that if you would like to send flowers, please send them directly to the church no later than 9 a.m. on the day of services. The service will be a time to celebrate Kemo's life and the imprint he left on all those he encountered. May his spirit find peace as we fondly remember the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.
In loving memory of Kemo, may he rest in eternal peace knowing that he was cherished by many and that his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
